Preschool Story Hour Thanksgiving Bracelets

These cuties are showing off their Thanksgiving bracelets they made in preschool story time Nov. 18.  Each color on the bracelet represents something in the Pilgrims' lives:  white for the sails of the ship;  blue for the ocean; green for the new land; black for the hardships they endured; brown for turkeys; yellow for corn; red for cranberries; and orange for pumpkins.

International Fun Day with Nebraska Christian Students

These two young ladies, international students at Nebraska Christian, celebrated their birthdays on Monday by helping  teach about 20 young girls from the community about their home countries.  Along with the other international girls, they taught the youngsters how to say some phrases in Korean, Chinese, or Laotian, and how to sing happy birthday in that language, as well as tell how old they were.  They really had fun learning about each other, decorating sugar cookies, and eating a delicious ice cream cake.  We really appreciate Barb Hoff and her husband for making such a great experience for everyone.  The smiles on everyone's faces was priceless!
