A Preview of a Summer Activity that You Can Be Working On Right Now!

     WORLD CHANGERS
                              “Build a Better World”
                      2017 Summer Reading Program
                     Video Competition for Ages 6-12

WHAT DO I DO?
Select a famous real person who did something, invented something, or in some way made the world a better place.   Read a book about that person, then develop a 3-4 minute script where you portray the person, in costume, and speak as if you are him or her, talking about what you did.
COULD A FRIEND AND I DO ONE TOGETHER ABOUT TWO PEOPLE?        Yes.

CAN WE DO IT NOW OR DO WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SUMMER?
Why not do one now when there's not so much going on.  You could do another one next spring/summer, too!
WHAT DO WE DO AFTER THE SCRIPT IS WRITTEN AND REHEARSED?

You will come to the library on a designated day and we will video your presentation using a green screen background.  You can help determine what kinds of pictures you would have as your  backgrounds. It’s a cool way to learn how to use the green screen!
WHAT WILL THE LIBRARY DO WITH THE VIDEOS?
They will be shown this summer on our blog site and on facebook, as well as in a display at the library.  If you do one early, we'll keep it and/or use it for promotions, etc. as well as enter it this summer.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME???

There will be  three  $25 Bison Bucks prizes awarded for the top three  videos.  Each participant will also receive prize points to redeem at the end of the summer programming.
